BEM-working group
‘safety & security’
SAVE-THE-DATE November 27, 2024 / 01- 03 pm / Management & Moderation: BEM-board member Markus Emmert
The growing importance of electromobility has greatly increased the need for professional dialogue. The BEM Charging Infrastructure Working Group offers you the opportunity to actively exchange ideas with experts and jointly develop solutions for the pressing issues of charging infrastructure. Under the leadership / moderation of the BEM Executive Board As the expansion of electromobility progresses, the requirements for safety and protection are increasing in many areas. The BEM Safety & Security working group is actively involved in the discussion on safety measures and develops recommendations for action to ensure the safe integration of electric mobility in public and private spaces. Under the leadership and moderation of BEM Board Member Markus Emmert, the discussions include fire protection measures in multi-party buildings and underground car parks as well as the safe transport of electric vehicles on public transport.
Thanks to their structure, the BEM working groups provide a comprehensive and focussed view of the market. Thanks to the continuous dialogue within our working groups, ministries are also increasingly turning to the BEM for well-founded insights and recommendations. The meetings provide space for technical discussions, political statements and the development of concrete guidelines and proposals for legislation, standardisation and safety regulations. Together, we are committed to ensuring that innovative technologies and solutions meet not only economic but also safety-related requirements – for a future-oriented and safe mobility transition.
